In this short 15-minute webinar Melissa Skinner, an elementary teacher, will share how she uses writing frames to support her English Language Learners (ELL) and her struggling students. She will be covering the following:

  1. How sentence frames can be used during guided reading to give students authentic writing opportunities and to use academic language (compare/contrast, agree/disagree etc).
  2. How sentence frames can be used when having kids share answers in groups or with partners.
  3. How writing frames can be used to give students a template to record their thoughts and ideas when they are not sure when to start or they don't have the literacy skills to do the work independently.
